Bonnie Chamberlain is a Certified, full time, professional shotgun coach and instructor in both American and International clay target disciplines, upland game and waterfowl hunting.

Chamberlain gives athletes and clients of all ages and skill levels step progressive training tools and instruction needed to help reach their individual shooting goals from the duck blind to International competitions. Coach Bonnie provides you with the most effective and efficient training methods, designed for the individual, to help you reach your goals.

 

The most common remarks heard from her clients is that they come away from training with a more complete understanding of the “entire package” of shotgun sports. Based on maturity and skill level, topics covered include the fundamentals – stance, gun mount, break point, hold point and focal point. Visual perception and target acquisition, move to the target, the connection between the eyes, the body and the target, as well as the physiology of shooting targets. The impact and importance of gun fit, ammunition selection, choke selection, vision training, sports psychology and sport nutrition.

 

Bonnie utilized her educational background in Psychology to develop a communication style that puts students at ease. She is able to explain concepts and communicate in terms that are easily understood, remembered and applied to future training.

 

Bonnie coaches both youth and adult individual athletes, teams and coaches across the United States and has had the privilege of coaching local, state, regional and national individual and team award winners. She has also had the honor of coaching athletes in Olympic shotgun disciplines at Advanced Junior Shotgun Camps as well as National Junior Olympic Development Camps.

NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Level III Certified Coach and member of the National Coach Development Staff - having instructed 500+ coach candidates to date. American Sport Education Program (ASEP) Professional Coaching Instructor and Bronze Level Coach. Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) Hall of Fame Certified Instructor and Level II Coach.  State Junior Olympic Championship Coordinator and Match Director and USA Shooting Official.

 

International Qualifications

ISSF Certified International Shotgun Coach, Level B. The first woman in the world to receive her Olympic Shotgun Coach License, and now one of seven females in the world certified by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) as an International Shotgun Coach. One of two in the United States and of ninety-one worldwide. The ISSF is the governing body for all Olympic/International shooting sports. ISSF Certified Judge and ISSF Certified Referee.
